Richmond senior signs with William Jewell

Body Richmond football coach Nick Persell called Feb. 29, 2024, a “great day to be a Cardinal.” The reason the coach at a high school whose mascot is the Spartans said that is because he’s also a graduate of William Jewell College, whose mascot is the Cardinals.

It’s not time for summer sports yet

Orrick falls to Braymer in finale for Miller, Harris

Body When Orrick’s varsity boys basketball season ended Feb. 22 with a 69-53 loss to Braymer at Norborne in the Class 1 District 13 Tournament semifinals, the high school careers of “two key players” also ended, according to junior Logan Smith – Jaxon Miller and Jonathon Harris.

Spartans send seven to state

Body Elijah Sanders was looking to finish his high school wrestling career as a champion this week. At press time, the Richmond senior was competing in the Class 2 state tournament at Columbia.
