The Community at Play (CAP) program continues to bring out the inner child in Ray County residents. Dressed to the nines, with party lights everywhere and DJ Timmy Leach playing music, CAP hosted two events last weekend.

Honoring officers will be a new tradition according to Richmond Police Interim Chief Scott Bagley. During a recent Richmond City Council meeting, Bagley gave recognition, rewarded and promoted officers.

Human remains found in April 2022 have been identified and the case deemed a homicide, according to Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers. It has been determined that the remains found in rural Ray County belonged to Jackson County resident Colette Noelle Greene, a.k.a., Nicole Joann Kasch, 27.
