The performance Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity 8-man football coach Andrew Watson saw from his Aggies during their 60-12 Week 6 thumping of Slater was first-rate. “From game start to game end, that was the best four quarters of football I’ve seen out of a football team since I’ve been here,” Watson, now in his fourth season with NHC, said Monday on the practice field at Hardin-Central.

CHAMPIONS! Richmond girls golf coach Courtney Sisson called Monday “a great day to be a Spartan.” The reason? Richmond won the Missouri River Valley Conference Tournament that day. Shooting a 397, the Spartans finished 11 strokes ahead of runner-up Warrensburg to claim the title at the Blue Springs Country Club.

The Spartans are slated to run Saturday at the Battle of Lexington Invitational on the Lexington High School campus. It’s Richmond’s second meet this month and sixth this season.
