Orrick and Carrollton slugged it out, metaphorically speaking, when the schools met Tuesday night at Orrick in varsity boys basketball. Orrick won the fight 52-51.

‘NICE TO GET BACK’ On Monday, Richmond boys coach Brent Behler and his Spartans finally got to play their first varsity basketball game of 2025. Sparked by a 21-2 first-quarter run, the Spartans cruised past Penney of Hamilton 55-32 in the Barker Center to open the Lawson Invitational.

HIGGINSVILLE – Richmond varsity girls basketball coach Kaylee Vantrump saw the Spartans’ 45-31 loss to Lafayette County of Higginsville in the Husker Classic fifth-place game as a reminder of the importance of utilizing Richmond’s post players.
