Lori L. Gilliland

Lori L Gilliland 63 a native of Chillicothe and resident of Richmond, passed away on December 4, 2021, at Ray County Memorial Hospital. Lori was born on September 20, 1958, the daughter of Dwight Clark and Virginia Lee (Patterson) Gilliland. 

She is survived by sister, Helen Fetters; two nieces, Lisa (Zach) Conner and Robyn (Zach) Dent; and other relatives and friends. 

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Gilliland, and nephew, Steven Crook.

Larry James Engler

Larry James Engler, 82 a native of Westbrook, MN, and resident of Richmond. He passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach. 

Larry was born on July 1, 1939, the son of Lawrence and Frances (Lindley) Engler.  Larry was first married to Elverta Davis of Sedalia on April 2, 1960; they later divorced.  He then married Sandra Barnett of Richmond on December 30, 1982; she survives of the home.

Anna “Pauline” Masters passed peacefully from this life December 5, 2021, in the company of her daughters, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO. 

Pauline was born in Orrick, MO on November 9, 1923 to Daniel H. Tucker, III and Edith Buist Tucker, growing up with two brothers, Charles Vernon and Daniel David.

Thelma Marie Jacobs

Thelma Marie Jacobs, 100, of Richmond died on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Thelma was born on October 1, 1921 in Richmond, the daughter of Virgil and Beulah (Seek) Railey.  She married Donald Jacobs of Richmond on April 8, 1971, he preceded her in death on October 10, 1994.

Casey Cline

Casey Cline, 25, or Richmond, MO passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2021.  

Casey was born on Jan. 17, 1996. He is the son of Tom and Lynda Cline.  

Casey had two loving children he leaves behind, Colton and Miya Cline. He also leaves behind his parents, Tom and Lynda; five brothers, Tommy, Jake, Zach, Cody and Collin; three sisters, Molly, Tiffany and Sarah; many nieces and nephews; and left behind many friends.  

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Lee Roy Van Oster

Lee Roy Van Oster, 76, a resident of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at North Care Hospice in North Kansas City.

 Lee Roy was born on January 3, 1945, the son of Roy and Emma (Palmer) Van Oster. On August 13, 1966, Lee Roy married Carline Kinney of Excelsior Springs, she survives of the home.

June C. Kusick, 99, of Rayville, died Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

June was born on June 23, 1922, in Kirkwood, the daughter of Charles L. and Josephine (Nuhs) Kostedt.  She was united in marriage to Charles V. Kusick, Sr., on July 28, 1943; he preceded her in death on December 19, 2001.
