Ronald “Ronnie” Ford

Ronald “Ronnie” Ford passed away on Sep. 6, 2022, at his home. He was born on Sep. 17, 1948, in Carrollton, MO. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lola, his daughter, Debbie (Steve) Howerton, and his son, Steven Ford. Surviving siblings are Vickie, David, Mike, and Marty. Also surviving are his eight grandchildren, Elisabeth, Derek, Josiah, and Clay Howerton, Kaleb Downer, Anna Ford, Vivian Ford, and Preston Jones.

William Howard “Bill” Sneed

William Howard “Bill” Sneed, age 89, of Orrick, died on Saturday, Sep. 3, 2022, at his son’s residence surrounded by his loving family. 

Bill was born on Aug. 10, 1933, in Huntsville, the son of Guy LeRoy and Bonnie (Rothwell) Sneed. He was united to marriage to Frances Dean Vance of Orrick on June 14, 1952, she preceded him in death on Aug. 21, 2004.

Arthur Victor “Artie” Horn

Arthur Victor “Artie” Horn, 70, Kearney, formerly of the Stet community, died on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at Liberty Hospital. 

Artie was born on May 12, 1952, in Great Bend, KS, the son of Charles Francis and Vivian Cleo (Barger) Horn. He was united in marriage to Connie Lee Sisson of Richmond on June 12, 1971; she survives of the home. 

Sandra Elizabeth Stapleton

Sandra Elizabeth Stapleton, 76 of Orrick, MO, passed away Aug. 17, 2022, at Liberty Hospital with her family by her side. Sandra was born on Nov. 18, 1945, in Kansas City, MO to Thomas Aaron Stapleton and Mildred Eileen (Ward) Stapleton.  

Sandra lived in Kansas City, MO until she moved with her family to Orrick in 1960. Upon moving to Orrick, Sandra began her freshman year of high school at Orrick High School. Sandra graduated from Orrick High School with the class of 1963.

Thurza Louise Falls

Thurza Louise Falls, 69, of Richmond, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. 

Thurza was born on Mar. 29, 1953, in Lexington, the daughter of Aymon Stanley and Helen Louise (Sloan) Nevels.  She was united in marriage to William E. “Bill” Falls of Stet on Dec.15, 1972; he survives of the home.

Melvelle “Mel” Sego

Melvelle “Mel” Sego, 58, of Webster City, IA died on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at the CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.  Visitation will be at Faith United Methodist Church, in Webster City, IA, on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 12 p.m.  The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.
