Obituaries

Jo Ann O'Dell, 88, of Richmond, passed away, December 9, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Jo Ann was born on January 19, 1934, the daughter of James Madison and Grace Ruth (Brown) Liles. She was united in marriage to Roy Lee O’Dell of Richmond on October 5, 1959; he preceded her in death on March 9, 1996. Survivors include: four daughters, Linda L. Wills of Bryan, Tx, Carolyn S. (David) Schneider of Gridley, Ks, Mary J. Pearson of Richmond, and Ruth E.

Terry Lee Evans (Tabb) of Lexington, Mo, was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Dec. 6, 2022. Terry was born Mar. 5, 1949, in Lexington, Mo, the daughter of Kenneth Dempsey Tabb and Jewell Berniece (Terry) Tabb.   

Deborah Sue “Deb” McKee, 68, of Richmond, died on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. Deb was born on Sept. 1, 1954, in Excelsior Springs, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Browning) Clark. She was united in marriage to Shannon McKee of Richmond on July 21, 1979; he survives of the home.  

Additional survivors include son, Shane (Amanda) McKee of Greenbrier, Ark.; two daughters, Sabrina McKee and Catrina McKee, both of Richmond; and five grandchildren, Trinidy Fisk, Nakia McKee, Skyrah McKee, Tobias McKee, and Serena McKee.  

Sondra Kay Gauthier, age 78, Richmond, Missouri, died peacefully on October 30, 2022. Sondra was born on August 10, 1944 to Clair and Iva Rugg. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1962. Sondra married Kenneth Gauthier. She is preceded in death by husband Kenneth Gauthier and daughter Kelly Davis. Sondra is survived by her brother Charles Rugg, son Kevin Scott Edgar, half-daughter Dianna Keughling, two grandchildren Benoit Gauthier and Chloe Gauthier. The family would like to thank the hospital staff for their care and dedication. 

Sharon Frances (Mines) Richards, 81, of Richmond, MO, went peacefully to be with her lord at NorthCare Hospice House, North Kansas City, MO, on October 27, 2022. Sharon was born in Sedalia, MO June 1941 to Harry and Clara (Hoff) Mines. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Dean Richards. Other surviving family members are her son, Joel (Kristy) Richards of Richmond, MO, daughter Dianne (Chris) McGuire, Hardin, MO, and daughter Jill (Joyce Knight) Richards of Richmond, MO.

In loving memory of Brande’ Michelle Gott. Brande’ passed away on Oct. 10, 2022. She was born on May 26, 1976. She is survived by her sons Michael, Stephan, & Justus. Memorial donations may be made to Brande’s GoFundMe.
