Dear Editor, This letter is to acknowledge and thank Ray County Road and Bridge for a thankless and never-ending job. Understaffed and with over 600 miles of gravel, Elvis Silkwood and his crew are out there five days a week, working on our roads.
Coats, Cavanah, Pugh receive Ray-Carroll scholarship

Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers have named Allison Coats, Livia Cavanah and Kameron Pugh as this year’s scholarship recipients. Coats and Cavanah will graduate Friday from Richmond High School.
Students receive technical skills certificates

Richmond High School FFA members enrolled in agriculture education courses which offer a unique opportunity to go beyond the classroom and learn real-world applications in several disciplines. Courses included agricultural mechanics, livestock evaluation and a dozen other areas of learning.

Newly elected Ray County E-911 Board member Pete Oulman made his first appearance with the board when it convened recently in Richmond. Oulman, a Lawson resident, works for the Metropolitan Community College Police Department, serving as a sergeant in charge of the Maple Woods Campus and a department investigator.
