Helen Lee Swanson, 85, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born on October 9, 1935, in Richmond the daughter of Charles William and Anna (Zuklin) Shipley. She was first married to Harris Bates Stanton of Henrietta on November 19, 1955, to this union her two children were born. They later divorced. Helen was later united in marriage to Warren Alvin Swanson of Claycomo on April 17, 1975; he survives of the home

Beverly Jane Cutler Schueler

Beverly Jane Cutler Schueler, 92, of Richmond, MO passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation. Private Funeral services with burial to follow at a later date in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon, WI. Beverly was born May 13, 1929 the only child of Harold and Anna Cutler. She married the late Clive Schueler on July 3, 1953 in Dubuque, IA. She was a beautician and had also worked for the West Allis Police Department as a Meter Maid.

William Thomas "Bill" Reynolds

William Thomas Reynolds (Bill) died on September 17, 2021 at the age of 93 years.  He loved his family, friends and church, and was always a faithful Ford guy.  He shared with everyone the value of his humble poor farm kid common sense, work ethic, devotion to helping others and enthusiasm for life.  He leaves a legacy of many friends, acquaintances and strangers who were touched by his friendship.

George J.  Winders – age 91 of Richmond, MO passed away Wednesday morning, September 15th, 2021 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehab in Richmond with family at his side.  George was born on September 21st, 1929 the son of George Howard and Maurine (Jackson) Winders in Richmond and was joined by an older sister, Mary Alice.  He grew up in Richmond and was a 1948 graduate of Richmond High School. He excelled at baseball, boxing, football and track.  George was asked to play minor league baseball and boxed in the Golden Gloves.

Nancy Jean Rye

Nancy Jean Rye, 76, of Richmond, died on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond. 

Nancy was born on May 1, 1945, in Kansas City the daughter of Robert and Velma (Schupp) Goodale. 

Survivors include brother, James Goodale of Rayville; niece, Gretchen (Jim) Hayward of Richmond; and two great nephews, Dakota Hayward and Caleb Goodale both of Richmond. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tom Goodale and Chester Goodale in infancy.

Daniel Martin "Dan" Powell

Daniel Martin “Dan” Powell, 64, of Excelsior Springs, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Liberty Hospital after a long hard-fought battle with complications from Covid – 19. 

Dan was born on October 30, 1956, in Rahway, NJ one of seven children born to Frederick Earl and Donna Joyce (MacArthur) Powell, III.  He was united in marriage to Glenda Sue McCrary of Excelsior Springs on February 14, 1982; she survives of the home.

Madonna Jean Svaglic, a 64-year-old Trenton, MO resident, passed Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her residence in Trenton. 

She is to be cremated with services being held at Cotton Creek Cowboy Chapel located at 40794 E 144th St. Richmond, MO 64085 on Saturday, September 11th, at 2:00 pm.

Joan (Curtis) Hamilton

Joan (Curtis) Hamilton, 94, of Richmond, Missouri, passed on September 1, 2021.   Joan was born on May 21, 1927, to Ray and Orpha Curtis of Atherton and due to her mother’s illness, was raised by numerous family members.  Joan graduated from William Chrisman High School and on January 6, 1946, married her high school sweetheart, Harry Lee Hamilton.  When Harry deployed for WWII, she was employed by Helzberg Jewelers on Independence Square and remembered walking from their Independence apartment to work in her high heels.
