James Gorham, economic development director for the City of Richmond, said nine homeowners had participated in a restoration program, with more than $21,000 invested into those properties, during the Oct. 11 City Council meeting.
Mixing and mingling were performed at the Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce after-hours event, hosted by Ray County Memorial Hospital (RCMH). RCMH’s new CEO, Jeff Bloemker, introduced himself to the community members and showed support for the event.
Sheriff Scott Childers and Ray County deputies have been involved in five pursuits the last several weeks. All pursuits resulted in charges of trafficking drugs and resisting arrest.
