RICHMOND – The city helps to address the need to build or repair sidewalks with a 50/50 grant for property owners. “Giving residents an incentive to make improvements to the sidewalks on their property not only benefits them, but also benefits all residents and visitors,” city information states.

RICHMOND – The city’s citizen survey by an independent contractor, ETC, is expected to help determine priorities for improvement and will guide the Richmond Comprehensive Development Plan update. The city has not had a plan update and survey in 20 years.

RICHMOND – The city has created the Drainage Improvement Grant Program to help residents and businesses solve drainage problems on their property. Richmond designates a portion of the Transportation Tax Fund as a 50/50 grant to assist residential and commercial property owners who wish to replace broken or failing drainage tubes or install new drainage systems in the city’s right-of-way on their property.

LIBERTY – The percentages for new COVID-19 cases from last week to this week remains high for Clay and Ray counties, though the percentages are moderating for the state and nation, based on numbers released Thursday.
