Richmond had a breakthrough during Monday’s 6-4 road loss to Knob Noster in varsity baseball, according to coach Nick Persell. “We played our best offensive game of the season,” Persell stated Wednesday via email. The Spartans rattled out nine hits during the Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC)-East Division defeat – one fewer hit than they had collected in their previous three games combined, Persell stated.
