Of Richmond’s three varsity boys games in the 29th annual Lawson Invitational Basketball Tournament, the Spartans saved their best performance for last, according to Richmond coach Kevin Jermain. After drubbing Penney of Hamilton 74-32 Jan. 10 and downing West Platte 50-40 Jan. 12, the Spartans cruised past Chillicothe 76-57 Jan. 14 at Lawson High School to claim the championship.
