Monday’s weather didn’t force Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity coach Andrew Watson and his Aggies to change their plans as they started their latest 8-man football camp this week. With the rain falling, the Aggies trained that morning outside on one of the practice fields at Hardin-Central. Nearby, NHC’s junior high program held camp, too. “The rain’s, I think, one of my favorite things about football. … The energy’s always fun on rainy days because they want to go out and get muddy, and so, if that means I’ve got to get a little wet, I have no problem doing that,” Watson said. J.W. Doyle, the son of Hardin-Central varsity softball coach and Richmond High School graduate Brandee Doyle, was among the Aggies who enjoyed the weather. “It’s always fun to play in the mud,” he said.
