ORRICK – Varsity 8-man football coach Kirk Thacker “didn’t like” watching his Bearcats defeat Norborne Hardin-Central, he said. Specifically, Thacker disliked the final score: 80-34. A personal connection fueled Thacker’s view of the Oct. 8 home victory. From 2015 through 2020, he was the NHC varsity coach. His achievements included a state semifinal appearance in 2015. “It’s not fun playing against your old team,” he said.
