Richmond varsity softball coach Staci Maddux prefers not to wait until the Spartans’ final regular-season home game to honor her seniors. “If it would start to be rainy and (games) get rained out, then you don’t get to have your Senior Night,” Maddux said. “So I like to have it a little earlier.” Thus, under overcast skies and cool, first-of-fall temperatures, Maddux honored her seven seniors before Richmond’s 15-0 victory in three innings over Lexington Sept. 22 at Southview Park: Aniya Webb, team manager; and players Caitlin Claypole, Trinidy Fisk, Aireanna Hoeppner, Kenzie Siggars, Haylee Weber and Kelsey Wilton.
