Holden ends streak
HOLDEN– Richmond’s latest winning streak in varsity girls basketball has ended.
After getting back-to-back wins to cap the Richmond Winter Classic, a Feb. 1 road win over Lafayette County of Higginsville and a 52-39 win Monday night at Knob Noster, the Spartans fell 47-23 Tuesday night at Holden. The Missouri River Valley Conference East Division defeat put Richmond at 10-10 overall and 3-3 in the MRVC East entering back-to-back divisional games with Lexington.
Like their boys counterparts, the girls were scheduled to play Thursday night at Lexington. They are set to host the Minutewomen Friday.
