Harris, who just finished his junior year at Orrick, placed fifth in the boys 110-meter high hurdles with his time of 16.14 seconds at Class 1 state competition, held recently at Jefferson City High School – his second straight year to place in the top five in the event. He placed third in 16.06 in 2022, when he also placed fifth in the 300 intermediate hurdles. Harris was Orrick’s lone athlete to receive a medal. Medals went to the top eight finishers in each event. Overall, Harris competed in three individual events. He placed 12th in both the 300s and the triple jump.
