HIGGINSVILLE – Richmond junior Conner Teat had several reasons to celebrate Feb. 27. One reason was that he won his 100th high school wrestling match. Teat did so by defeating Lexington’s Josh Payne for the 120-pound division title at the Class 1 Sectional 3 Tournament at Lafayette County High School in Higginsville. “I’ve put a lot of work into wrestling and hitting 100 … (wins) as a junior just feels great,” he said. “(I) was real excited. I’ve been excited, knowing that … (it was) possible all year.
