Time to dream again. The coronavirus pandemic has wiped out prep sports in Ray and Clay counties, and elsewhere. I find it difficult to get excited about following pro baseball in South Korea. Or the upcoming haggling to try to salvage the Major League Baseball season. Or even the flurry of NASCAR races slated to start Sunday. And so, I feel the urge to return to la-la land to dream about The Celestials, an imaginary pro baseball team consisting of all-time greats I conjured up some time back. I began sharing my selections for The Celestials with my readers in the fall of 2019 while the major-league postseason was underway. When I stopped, I had selected my pitchers and starting position players. To recap, Bob Gibson, Don Drysdale, Sandy Koufax and Leroy Robert “Satchel” Paige comprised my starting rotation.
