Orrick varsity track coach Kirk Thacker and his Bearcats are ready to compete at the Bruce Finlayson Invitational Friday at Carrollton. “We will be taking on some bigger schools, which will help us with the competition factor and continue to help us get better,” Thacker stated Wednesday via text message. It’ll be the the Bearcats’ third meet this week. They competed Tuesday at Sweet Springs, with the Orrick boys winning their portion of the meet with 131.5 points – their fourth win in as many meets this season, Thacker stated. Orrick finished fifth in the girls portion with 56.5 points. Both teams competed Wednesday in a meet at Richmond.
