HARDIN –The Norborne Hardin-Central 8-man football co-op need not worry much about wear and tear on team buses for roughly the first half of the varsity season. The Aggies are scheduled to play four of their first five games at home. After opening Aug. 28 at home against Kansas City East Christian, a Johnson County, Kansas-based program geared toward homeschool student-athletes, they face visiting Orrick on Sept. 4 before a Sept. 11 road meeting with North Shelby. They then host Santa Fe, a newcomer to 8-man football; and the Braymer-Breckenridge co-op before playing three of their last four regular-season games on the road. This marks NHC’s sixth season of co-op 8-man football. The Aggies were .500 or better in each of their first four seasons, including a 2015 state semifinal run. They were 4-6 in 2019.
