Aggies see ‘some good things,’ areas for improvement in loss

Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity 8-man football coach Andrew Watson saw “some good things” from his Aggies during the first half of their Sept. 22 road meeting with undefeated Braymer/ Breckenridge. During the second half of the 72-28 defeat, Watson saw areas where his Aggies still have some work to do. The Aggies (2-3) were effective at clock control and their running game the first half, Watson said Monday on the practice field at Hardin-Central. “Obviously, not perfect, but we did some good things that we can build on,” he said. Teammates Drew Hawkins and Zach Deitch were pleased with the first half, too. “I feel like we communicated well, picked up blitzes well with our offensive line. … As teammates, we worked together very, very well,” said Deitch, a Hardin-Central sophomore. “And then, just keeping our heads up, we did very well, especially in the first quarter.
