Aggies rarin’ for rematch with Wildcats
Bye week is over for Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC).
Like Braymer/Breckenridge and Southwest/Hale/Tina-Avalon, the Aggies were idle last week – the first week of districts for 8-man football. They’re slated to play under the lights again Friday night, when they’ll face the Southwest co-op in District 4 play at Hardin-Central, with the winner to play the winner between Orrick and Braymer/Breckenridge for the district title Nov. 10.
Overall, the Aggies’ bye week was “as good as it could be for a bye week,” coach Andrew Watson opined after practice Monday at Hardin-Central.
“Bye weeks are always tough – … keeping people focused in. … Obviously, it was a cold, rainy week; … but I thought, overall, (the) kids did a good job (of) making the best of it,” Watson said.
Other than a practice that had a lightning delay, the Aggies (4-5) “got to fly around and play in the water” when it was cold and rainy, according to Watson. Teammates Brody Fifer and Jaden Barrett, both Hardin-Central…
