Vicky Lynn (Edwards) Lang 51, of Excelsior Springs Missouri passed away in her home after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. Vicky's husband, children and family were by her side. Vicky was born September 28, 1971, in Smithville Mo, to Gene and Shirley (Williams) Edwards. She grew up in Liberty, Mo, graduating from Liberty High in 1990. After the passing of her father from lung cancer in 1988, Vicky was the primary caregiver for her bedridden mother, until her passing in 2002. Not long after her mother's passing Vicky met the love of her life and she married Don Lang on February 20, 2003. She is survived by Don of the home and their children Mandi Lang 18, David Lang 17 and Gabe Lang 16. Vicky also leaves behind a daughter Shirley Nibarger and 2 grandsons Kacey and Grayson. Sisters: Shawna Russell of Hiawatha KS, Cheryl Jackson (Jeff) of Excelsior Springs Mo and Jennifer Pierce (Keith) of Agency Mo. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.  Vicky loved the outdoors and especially fishing with her husband and children. Her kids say she was an amazing mother who would do anything for her family. Besides the many fishing trips, they will always remember the memories they made on their Colorado vacation to celebrate her 50th birthday.
