Rodney Eugene Gorham, 60, of Camden, died Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond. 

Rodney was born on October 29, 1961, in Ray County.  The son of Paul Ray and Era Jean (Mansell) Gorham.  Rodney was united in marriage to his wife of 35 years, Mary Beth Emery of Lexington on February 14, 1987; she survives of the home. 

Additional survivors include: son, Lucas Michael (Alissa) Gorham of Columbia; daughter, Bethany Jordan Gorham of Excelsior Springs; four grandchildren, Bella Gorham, Caroline Gorham, Amy Elliott, and Jackson Elliott; sister, Alicia (Kirk) Essig of Camden; sister-in-law, Debbie Gorham of Excelsior Springs; two nieces, Miranda Essig, Jessica Gorham and nephew, Daniel Gorham. 

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, and brother James Paul Gorham. 

Rodney was reared and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from Richmond High School in 1980.  He was currently working for Harps grocery store in Richmond which he enjoyed tremendously.  Before working at Harps, he had worked for Hallmark, Wentworth College, and various other jobs.  No matter where he worked, he was always loved by all his co-workers.  Rodney was all about his family, good family man and the nicest person you could ever meet.  He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed one.  He enjoyed feeding and watching birds and growing flowers. 

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rodney Eugene Gorham Memorial Fund.  Memorials can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E Main Street, or P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO  64085. 

Visitation with funeral services will be held on, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M., with funeral services to begin at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be in Cravens Cemetery, east of Camden.  Please remember to share your memories of Rodney with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
