Bonnie Faye Junkins, 80, of Richmond, formerly of Norborne, died Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond. 

Bonnie was born on August 7, 1941, in Long Lane, the daughter of Charley Everett and Flora Alice (Williams) Smith.  She was united in marriage to Arnold Ray Junkins of Dallas County on January 17, 1959; he preceded her in death on June 9, 1994. 

Survivors include: son, Jeffrey Arnold (Heather) Junkins of Brunswick; three daughters: Debra (Mark) Burgess of Richmond, Kathy Jo (Robert) Hesterberg of Nixa, and Carolee (Eric) Miller of Carrollton; 15 grandchildren: Stephanie (Josh) Andrews, Courtney Junkins, Mindi Junkins, Logan Junkins, Ty Junkins, Brady Patterson, Makaylee Patterson, Billy Burgess, Joseph (Becky) Buhlig, Charles Buhlig, Elizabeth (Brian) Criss, Kassondra (Byron) Drury, Braiden Miller, Vyncent Miller, and Sophia Miller; nine great-grandchildren: Emma, Rose, Hazel, Conner, Ivy, Amelia, Allison, Evan, Jax, and one on the way; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Dampier of Weaubleau. 

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two brothers, Bobby and Kenneth Smith, and sister, Virginia Thompson. 

Bonnie was reared and educated in the area of her birth in Dallas County.  She was a housewife and homemaker.  She loved Country music, liked to read, liked hunting, fishing, gardening, and canning.  Bonnie was of the Baptist faith.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. 

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bonnie Faye Junkins Memorial Fund.  They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085. 

Visitation with graveside services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne, with graveside services to follow at Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, at 3:00 P.M.  Please remember to share your memories of Bonnie with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
