RICHMOND – Two Richmond FFA members will walk across the stage at the State FFA Convention to accept their State FFA degrees in April.

Seniors Dylan Powell and Thomas Steffens received the highest degree bestowed on members of the Missouri FFA.

“Both members have been working hard throughout high school in their Supervised Agricultural Experience programs, while maintaining active participation and leadership roles in the National FFA organization,” FFA information states.

Thomas is the chapter president and Dylan is the sentinel.

Three Richmond FFA members received area FFA recognition with high quality SAE projects by completing the Missouri FFA Proficiency Award application. Powell received first place, goat production; Jacob Ruark, second place, ag processing; and Steffens, first place, wildlife management proficiency.

Steffens and Powell’s proficiency applications moved on to state judging. They will learn their state ranking while being recognized onstage at the convention.
