Richmond artists’ work on display in St. Joe

ST. JOSEPH – The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art includes work by Richmond artist Trey Banning. The inclusion is part of the final segment of the contemporary art traveling exhibition – Missouri Art Now: A Bicentennial Celebration – on display through Nov. 7. “The exhibit is comprised of 60 artworks from 60 artists representing the state’s vibrant visual arts culture and presents a snapshot of contemporary art from all four corners of Missouri,” museum information states. An opening reception will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with Smithsonian Day. Opening receptions are free and open to the public. A cash bar and refreshments will be available. Missouri Art Now: A Bicentennial Celebration is a collaboration among the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau, the Center for Missouri Studies in Columbia, the Post Art Library and Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, the Hannibal Arts Council in Hannibal and the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph…
