Bryan Copple has some goals he wants to achieve this school year as Richmond’s new superintendent. He has achieved one of them – or at least part of it. “My first goal, obviously, is just getting here, wanting to build relationships, (to) meet the community,” Copple said during a recent interview. Learning the ins and outs of Richmond is important to Copple, he said. He already has learned a few ins and outs. “Richmond (has) had success over the years with academics and athletics,” Copple said. “The community always seems to have a lot of pride in them.” Officially announced as the new superintendent in December 2021 by the school board, Copple’s desire to be part of Richmond’s community began in Brookfield, his hometown.
