Coats, Cavanah, Pugh receive Ray-Carroll scholarship

Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers have named Allison Coats, Livia Cavanah and Kameron Pugh as this year’s scholarship recipients. Coats and Cavanah will graduate Friday from Richmond High School. Coats, the daughter of Susan Coats, will study agribusiness management at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Cavanah, the daughter of Richmond Assistant Superintendent Trey Cavanah and Keri Tracy Nettles, will attend State Technical College of Missouri in Linn. Pugh, who’ll graduate from Sunday from Hardin-Central, is the son of Kevin and April Pugh. He’ll study agribusiness at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Established in 1981, the Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers Scholarship is awarded each spring to seniors who are the sons or daughters of cooperative members or members themselves, planning to attend a college or university in Missouri and live in an area where Ray-Carroll operates.
