Orrick alderman candidates share views

Three candidates have filed for two available seats on the Orrick Board of Aldermen in the upcoming April 8 municipal election. The candidates are Brooke Edney, Cindy Epperson and James Smith. Epperson, 66, is a graduate of Fort Osage High School and studied agribusiness at Maple Woods Community College. She is retired following a 30year career with the USDA Farm Service Agency, including 14 years as the County Executive Director for the Ray/Clay County office. Epperson previously served four years on the Ralls County 911 Board and is currently the secretary and a member of the Orrick Lions Club. Edney, 32, works in customer experience at Midland Radio. She is a lifelong Orrick resident and a graduate of Orrick High School. She is married to Brandon Edney and the couple has an eight-yearold son, Chase.
