RICHMOND – Government, religious and civic leaders will join residents to pray for the community and nation at the 2020 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.

The keynote speaker is Chiefs mascot KC Wolf – Dan Meers. He authored the book, “Wolves Can’t Fly,” which details his 75-foot fall from the Arrowhead Stadium lights into the upper level seats, “breaking his back but not his spirit,” program information states.

Mayor Mike Wright worked with the Richmond Ministerial Alliance to organize the event to reaffirm the nation’s spiritual values.

The breakfast starts at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 306 W. Main St., with the event at 7 a.m. Tickets are available through local churches or call 816-776-2296. Breakfast tickets cost $5. Everyone is welcome.
