In a proactive approach to increase the number of substitute teachers for the Richmond R-XVI School District, the Richmond R-XVI Central Office Staff hosted a Substitute Teacher Recruiting Workshop in January. The event, held at the Richmond R-XVI Central Office Building, aimed to educate, equip and prepare potential candidates for certification and skills needed to become a Missouri Certified Substitute teacher. Richmond R-XVI Board Secretary Nicole Yoakum led and organized the event with over eighteen registered participants. Yoakum offered her services for on-site state registration, fingerprinting, background check and guidance through the coursework accompanying the substitute teaching program.
