Kinnard follows God’s path through dedication
One local man’s work ethic and faith fruition into the physical place of healing and worship. Rob Kinnard, Richmond City Council member, pastor and basketball enthusiast, opened up about a special place to him.
Made from God’s will and self-dedication, the Rockingham Chapel and Ranch; and Off The Grid Adventures campsite came to physicality. Inspired by the original Rockingham Church of the Brethren, Rob took it upon himself to make it a therapeutic place of worship. The outdoor experience features rescued animals to calm the nervous system.
Rob said God has called him to live a life of giving to others in this manner. He contributes his work ethic to his late parents, George and Shirley Kinnard.
“Hard work and determination were instilled in me at a very young age with my parents being the example. They followed their dream of living in the country after having five kids and they wanted to raise them with country values,” said Rob.
