Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers — currently on paid administrative leave from office while a criminal investigation is underway at the hands of Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey via petition of quo warranto — has answered to the allegations. Documents filed by Childers’ attorneys Kevin R. Corlew and Lydia R. McEvoy not only answered to the 14 allegations from the attorney general on March 28, but also listed several “Affirmative Defenses”. • Relator’s claims are barred in whole or in part for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted under Mo. R. Civ. P. 55.27(a)(6). • Relator’s claims are barred in whole or in part under Mo. R. Civ. P. 55.15 because the Petition fails to plead with particularity the circumstances allegedly violating Section 106.220, RSMo.
