Following continuance of a case in Ray Circuit Court Division against a Richmond man, his attorney, Robin Winn of Winn Law Firm LLC, spoke with Richmond Daily News on March 19. Her client, 40-year-old Justin Robinson, is facing charges of escape or attempted escape from confinement with a deadly weapon and second-degree assault, both felonies. Additionally, in the Jan. 30, 2023, case that landed him in jail to begin with, Robinson faces felony charges of six counts of domestic assault, six counts of armed criminal action, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child - creating substantial risk. This particular case was dismissed Dec. 2023 when the state’s request for continuance was overruled. Ray County Prosecuting Attorney Camille Johnston has not yet made an updated claim as to whether they will refile the case.
