DISTRICT PREVIEW Richmond has a rematch with Chillicothe in varsity 11man football Friday. The Spartans (7-2) are scheduled to host Chillicothe (4-6) in the Class 3 District 8 Tournament semifinals, with the winner to advance to the district title game, set for Nov. 14. Friday marks the fifth time the schools have met in postseason football since 2015, Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) records state. Chillicothe won the most recent meeting 28-22 in overtime in October 2023 in Chillicothe. The Hornets secured the rematch by edging St. Joseph Lafayette 19-14 Oct. 31 in the first round of the singleelimination tournament. Richmond had a first-round bye.
