TOP 20 Karoline Dooley has a top-20 finish to show for her first appearance at a state girls golf tournament.
The Richmond sophomore placed 17th among 90 finishers (and 91 entries) at Class 2 state competition, which wrapped Tuesday at the Fremont Hills Country Club in Nixa. She shot a 185 for the twoday tournament – a 98 (+27) Monday and an 87 (+16) Tuesday.
Dooley was one of two golfers to represent Richmond. Lyla Best, a firstyear high schooler, shot a 210 to tie Isa Antcliff of St. Charles Lutheran for 52nd. Best shot a 104 (+33) Monday and a 106 (+35) Tuesday.
