ORRICK – The Bearcats dropped their two varsity basketball games Tuesday night to visiting Sweet Springs/Malta Bend. The Orrick girls fell 48-27, putting them at 1-19 entering Wednesday’s non-conference road meeting with winless Lexington. The boys fell 52-36, putting them at 5-15. Both varsity teams are slated for a Friday night I-70 Conference road meeting with Wellington-Napoleon. The Wellington-Napoleon girls, who defeated Orrick in December to open the I-70 Conference Tournament, were 19-2 overall with a 10-game winning streak entering Thursday’s road meeting with Polo.
