Emmalea Kilpatrick got me to thinking. Or rather, taking a picture of her did. Kilpatrick, as many of you know, is a senior at Richmond High School whose extracurricular activities include basketball and track. While covering the Richmond Winter Classic in late January, I photographed her reaching for a secondhalf rebound during the fifth-place game with Oak Grove at Richmond Middle School. The picture, which appeared on page 16 of last week’s issue, has drawn some newsroom compliments.
