Aggies complete perfect regular season with shutout
Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) broke new ground with its 30-0 win over the Northwest of Hughesville/Otterville co-op in varsity 8-man football.
With the Oct. 24 victory at Hardin-Central, the Aggies finished the regular season 9-0 – their first perfect regular season in program history, as NHC coach Andrew Watson noted Tuesday via email. It also gave the Aggies their first-ever league title, Watson stated.
“To achieve that by playing as well as we did against a top-10 team in the state is a huge confidence boost for our kids,” he wrote. “Over the past couple of weeks, we hadn’t been playing to our full potential and started games a little flat. This week, we challenged our boys to come out firing from the first whistle – and they did. They proved that, when we play to our potential, we’re a tough team to beat.”
Brody Fifer led NHC to its shutout victory. Offensively, the Hardin-Central junior completed 10 of 16 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception. He…
