William Michael “Mike” Pearson
William Michael “Mike” Pearson, 64, of Hardin, died Sunday, July 3, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on August 12, 1957, in Richmond, the son of William LeRoy and Virginia Louise (Armour) Pearson.
Survivors include: his significant other, Kathy Smith of Lexington; son, Trevor (Amy) Pearson of Richmond; daughter, Dawn Pearson of Independence; brother, Mark (Coleen) Pearson of Richmond; two sisters, Sandy (Arlyn) Burns of Richmond and Debbie (Garry) Shannon of Carrollton; and two grandchildren, Aidan Dorton and Jayden Pearson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike was reared and educated in Hardin and graduated from the Hardin High School in 1975. He worked as a Union Carpenter/Supervisor in the Kansas City area. Mike was also an accomplished cabinet maker and would often help family and friends with carpentry related projects. He enjoyed helping other people. Mike served as mayor of Hardin for one term and served on the Hardin City Council and Richmond City Council in the past. He enjoyed hunting, camping, going to car shows, and spending time with his family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Skiles Event Center, near Richmond.
