Shirley Ann (Clark) Harrison, 76, of Richmond, MO, formerly of Jefferson City, MO, passed away on Sep. 5, 2022, at Shirkey Nursing Home in Richmond, MO. She was born Feb. 2, 1946, in Polo, MO, to Roy L. and Cleota (Green) Clark of Richmond, MO. 

Shirley graduated from Richmond High School in 1964 and Draughon’s College of Commerce in Kansas City, MO. She moved to Jefferson City, MO, in 1966, working for the Missouri Baptist Convention. She was married to Ted Harrison in 1969 of Jefferson City, MO, who is now deceased. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Roy and Cleota Clark. 

Shirley worked for 32 years for the State of Missouri in the Department of Agriculture and in the Department of Mental Health. After retirement, she enjoyed working at Panera Bread Company for eight years. 

Shirley is survived by two sisters, Janice (Dave) Plummer of Camden, MO, and Donna (David) Tarr of Richmond, MO. She is also survived by her niece and three nephews, Dr. Chuck (Amy) Plummer, Jeff Tarr, Tracy (Terry) Koger, and Derick (Serenity) Tarr. Shirley is also survived by nine great-nieces and great-nephews. 

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Richmond First Baptist Church.  They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085. 

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sep. 10, 2022, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., with services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Richmond.  Please remember to share your memoires of Shirley with the family by visiting thurmanfuneralhome.com.
