Virus Closes School

Body RICHMOND – After several people tested positive for COVID-19 and scores more were possibly in contact with those people, Richmond School District leaders ordered a three-week shutdown at Richmond High School.

Hospital closes home health program

Body RICHMOND – Phasing out Ray Count Memorial Hospital’s home health program has gone “remarkably well,” Administrato Earl Sheehy said. As this newspaper reported earlier, the hospital’s Board of Trustees voted in July to phase out the program.

Rust family honored for 132-year-old farm

Body RICHMOND – Many Ray Countians know Troy Rust for his financial consulting work. What they might not know is that Rust also is a man of the land, as his father and a few of his grandfathers were – a fact that has drawn state recognition.

Mayor sets prayer breakfast

Body RICHMOND – Government, religious and civic leaders will join residents to pray for the community and nation at the 2020 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. The keynote speaker is Chiefs mascot KC Wolf – Dan Meers.
