Voters to decide on MU Extension levy
Voters will soon decide whether to authorize a new property tax levy to support University of Missouri Extension programs during the April 7 municipal election.
The ballot question asks: “ Shall the Extension District in Ray County be authorized to levy an annual tax of five cents per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation for the purpose of funding the University of Missouri Extension District programs (including 4-H youth, agriculture, business/community development, and health), education facilities, equipment and services in the district.”
