Seba implements workforce math
A Richmond High School (RHS) teacher has implemented a workforce math class to help students achieve their goals.
Renee Seba is the creator of the Workforce Math program, specifically tailored for high school students who intend to enter the workforce immediately after completing their high school education. This program is aimed at providing an additional math credit to students who may require it, particularly those who lack a math credit from geometry and are not eligible for or interested in Vo-Tech, where students can earn a third math credit to meet graduation requirements.
“These kids were winding up in Algebra II and failing,” explained Seba. “The first semester we did the class, all but two kids in the class failed the previous year. I created the class for them.”
The statistics class has been removed from the curriculum at RHS and has been replaced with the new workforce math course. This new course is being offered in addition to the existing consumer math class…
