New skipper leads Richmond softballers

FALL SPORTS PREVIEW A coaching era got underway for Richmond in varsity softball Tuesday. The Spartans’ 16-1 road loss to Lawson marked the head coaching debut of Baylyn Jennings, who succeeds Trent Thompson. The girls were slated to continue regular-season play Wednesday by hosting Norborne Hardin-Central. Here’s an additional look at the ballclub, courtesy of a questionnaire answered by Jennings.
