Local coach celebrated for lasting impact
A longtime Richmond coach has been inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing a career spanning decades and leaving a lasting impact on students, athletes and the community.
Rob Bowers, who spent more than three decades coaching high school football in Missouri, including two extended tenures at Richmond High School, was selected as a member of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026. His induction recognizes not only the longevity and success of his coaching career, but also the broader influence he had on students, players and school communities throughout the state.
The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame considers a range of factors when selecting inductees, with an emphasis on long-term contribution, leadership and the lasting influence honorees have had within their communities and professions.
