Veterinarians Jonathan Renfro, Cathy Harris and Dale Stewart, and the city of Richmond combined to get dogs and cats vaccinated and tagged during the Annual Pet Clinic, held June 7-9 at the Wiggly Field Dog Park. “We vaccinated 57 animals on our night of the vaccination clinic this month,” Shari Renfro said. Shari Renfro said they’ve been vaccinating for the community annually for an estimated 20-plus years. There were multiple vaccines available There were $10 rabies shots for cats and dogs. There also were bundles for multiple vaccinations. For dogs, there was a rabies/ distemper/parvo bundle for $25, while for cats, there was a rabies/distemper/ parvo/leukemia bundle for $35. Provided by Renfro Veterinary Services, the community event was a way for dog and cat owners to buy vaccinations at a lower cost than at normal hours.
